Linguine and Clam Sauce Gluten Free
This is one of those meals that fell to the wayside when I had to go gluten free. It was also one of my husband’s favorites. Every now and then, I would catch a comment about how he missed this meal. Sure, I could have made it with gluten free spaghetti noodles, but then it would have been spaghetti and clam sauce! Not the same. To be honest, I didn’t even bother attempting to find gluten free linguine noodles. I’m sure they were under my nose the whole time, I just didn’t notice. The following recipe is modified from a family recipe I’ve had for years. The only real considerations you need to make when attempting this recipe are using gluten free noodles and using gluten free cooking wine, or white wine. Everything else is gluten free. For this recipe, I used two boxes of Ancient Harvest Supergrain Pasta Linguine , only because the recipe calls for 16oz of linguine noodles, and the boxes are 8oz each. Also, add as much or as little garlic as you like! Even with the recipe below, I know my family likes it extra garlicky. I add plenty extra. We like extra garlic.
This meal is incredibly fast, and pairs wonderfully with a Caesar salad, minus the croutons.
